Meet Dr. Natasha Mathias DMD

Dr. Natasha Mathias received a DMD degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She has a specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry from the New Jersey Dental School, UMDNJ.

Dr. Mathias received extensive training in hospital dentistry, anesthesia, sedation, child growth and development, orthodontics, and treatment of children with special needs.

She is a strong believer in prevention and makes every effort to educate parents and children on proper diet, oral hygiene and maintenance. She believes in nurturing children into great patients as adults and every child leaves her chair with a smile.

She is widely traveled and takes much interest in activities in the Montclair community. She is involved in the health and wellness initiative, as well as Montclair Board of Education in various public outreach efforts. She mentors young adults who express interest in pursuing careers in healthcare, especially dentistry.

Dr. Gordon Barnes, our anesthesiologist is a Diplomate in the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and has been practicing office based anesthesia for the past 14 years in the New York metro area. He is a graduate of The New York University College of Dentistry and the University of Health Sciences, Antigua School of Medicine. He completed his dental residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and his anesthesia residency at Brookdale Medical Center, also in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Kristi Wagner, our Orthodontist Dr. Wagner entered the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco and received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in June 1998. Dr. Wagner attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey- New Jersey Dental School orthodontic specialty program and received an orthodontic certificate in May 2001. Dr. Wagner is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (Board Certified). She is an instructor of orthodontics at the Overlook Hospital Dental Center where she just earned the residents’ choice Attending of the Year 2008.
